Apa di benak readers semua sata mendengar bentuk perfect tense?Tentu langsung terkoneksi kejadian yang telah terjadi entah di masa lampau atau baru saja terjadi masa ini, intinya telah terjadi bukan?Lah kan kalau future tenseitu kejadian yang belum terjadi bukan atau masih rencana, kok bisa ada bentuk future perfect tense?
Future Perfect Tenseternyata bentuk tense yang biasa digunakan untuk menyatakan prediksi. Yang namanya prediksi bisa saja teoat or nda ya readers, lawong masih rencana. Maksudnya bagaimana? Apa bedanya dengan future continuous tenseyang sudah dibahas sebelumnya? Kalau future perfect tensemenyatakan kejadian yang akan sedang dilakukan pada jam sekarang di masa mendatang, sedangkan jenis future perfect tense menyatakan kejadian yang akan telah terjadi (sudah selesai kejadian tersebut) di masa mendatang. Contohnya:
– They will have arrived in Bali by the time the end of this year (artinya mereka akan sudah sampai Bali pada akhir tahun ini)
– I will have gone to go home before they call me (aku akan sudha pulang ke rumah sebelum mereka menelponku)
Bandingkan dengan bentuk future continuous tensedi bawah ini:
– I’ll be eating this seafood at this time tomorrow. (aku akan sedang makan seafood ini paa jam sekarang besok à masih makan belum selesai makan pada jam itu)
– She’ll be looking for her new necklace at this time tomorrow night (dia akan sedang mencari kalung barunya pada saat ini besok malam)
Perlu diingatbahwa ‘will have’ diikuti oleh ‘participle (V-3)’ dengan keterangan waktu (adverb) masa datang (future) digunakan untuk menyatakan aktivitas yang akan datang atau kejadian yang akan datang. Keterangan waktu yang digunakan sama halnya dengan bentuk future tenselainnya hanya saja lebih khas atau khususnya ada kata by the time, before kemudian bisa diikuti tomorrow, next day, tonight, this year, next year, next month, next week, etc.
