Penggunaan degrees of comparison untuk kata keterangan digunakan untuk membandingkan dua aksi kata kerja dan bentuk superlative tiga atau lebih aksi kata kerja. Masih ingatkah apa saja kata keterangan? (

Jangan menggunkan tambahan –er dengan kata keterangan yang lebih dari satu suku kata walaupun kata keterangan tersebut berakhiran –ly. Inilah bedanya di dalam perbandingan dengan kata keterangan dan dengan kata sifat.

Incorrect: She runs more fastthan Jimmy.
Correct : She runs faster than Jimmy.
Incorrect: Clara drinks juice the more rapidly among of all.
Correct : Clara drinks juice the most rapidly among of all.
Incorrect: My father drives more fastthan my mom does.

Incorrect: Many chemicals react more quick in acid solution.
